Canon Information Systems Research Australia Pty Ltd (CISRA) - Individual Student Prize

4 prizes awarded annually to the most meritorious 2nd and 3rd year students in BE Computer Systems and BE Software Engineering.

Canon Information Systems Research Australia Pty Ltd (CISRA) - Team Prize

Awarded to the team of students who achieve the highest grade in ENGG3800

Frank Joseph Murphy Memorial

For undergraduate BE (Electrical), BE (Computer Systems) or BE (Software) students, undertaking an overseas exchange program; or graduates of not more than 2 years standing who will use the bursary to undertake studies overseas.

GHD Pty Ltd Scholarship in Electrical Engineering

Open to full-time students in the BE (Electrical) who are enrolled in Semester 6 of the program and intend to enter the final year of the program in the following year.

John Fox Memorial Bursary

For orphaned or fatherless Australian born male students in electrical engineering. who have completed first year of the program.

Laing O'Rourke Engineering Scholarship

Open to second year students in the Bachelor of Engineering (mechanical, civil or electrical) with a GPA of at least 4.8

Leo Howard Bursaries

Available to students who have completed Year 1 of the Bachelor of Engineering.  Students who have demonstrated considerable academic ability are encouraged to apply. 

Prime consideration is given to the financial needs of the student.

Maude Walker Scholarship

Open to students who have completed the Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering or a closely allied field, enrolled full-time in the first year of postgraduate studies in electrical engineering.

Maunsell Australia Undergraduate Scholarship   (Value: $5,000 per year; tenable for up to two years)

Up to four (4) scholarships are available annually to domestic students.  The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement during the first three semesters of the Bachelor of Engineering program, an interest in geotechnical engineering, and personal qualities, including leadership potential; it might include other evidence as may be deemed relevant to future success in the civil engineering profession.

Eligibility requires that applicants be enrolled fulltime in the Bachelor of Engineering program or a dual program including a Bachelor of Engineering, in the field of civil engineering; and have maintained an overall GPA of at least 4.8 at the time of application in one of the above programs; and intend to enter the third year of the program in the year of the award. 

Value: $5,000 per year and tenable for up to two years, subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued full-time enrolment in the program.  Satisfactory academic progress means maintaining a GPA of at least 4.8 each semester.

Richard Jago Prize

Awarded to a research student in ITEE that best demonstrates:

·         excellence in their academic and research record;

·         the benefit they will gain from the prize;

·         the relevance of their research to society.

Robert and Mary MacMillan Bursary

For a BE student over 23 who has completed at least #32 units of study.  Preference given to those students with trade qualifications.

The Areva Prize

Awarded to the student with the greatest proficiency in BE Electrical and Computer Science courses. 

The Fourth Year Engineering Travelling Fund

Awarded to students completing the 4th year of Engineering who have completed an exchange program in the previous year.  Rotated between engineering disciplines annually.

The Sir Thomas Mc Illwraith Engineering Scholarship

All students entering 7th semester of the BE are considered applicants.  Two or more scholarships are awarded.

The Walter Bruce Darker Scholarship

Awarded annually to the two students who have demonstrated the greatest proficiency in the BE and are about to enter their fifth semester of study.

Tony Murphy Prize

Awarded to the most improved student completing the BE (Electrical)

WHR Nimmo Award

Awarded annually to the best thesis in the Bachelor of Engineering

Tony Murphy Postgraduate Electrical Engineering Research Scholarship

Awarded to a domestic student enrolled or intending to undertake postgraduate research in the field of Electrical Engineering.

UQ Trans-Pacific Fellowships

The University of Queensland Trans-Pacific Fellowships aim to support high-achieving UQ undergraduates, research higher degree candidates and staff to undertake study and research at the University of Washington
