Why do a ME (Management)?
The Master of Engineering (Management) combines postgraduate studies in selected fields of engineering (electrical and software) with studies in selected fields of business. For existing engineering professionals, undertaking this program will meet your professional and personal development needs in the future.
This 2 year (full-time) program starts in February 2009 and will have subsequent intakes in July 2009 and February 2010. The program is offered at UQ's St Lucia campus. The program provides for development of business skills in engineering graduates without prior formal background and caters for students with relatively advanced backgrounds by allowing them to substitute engineering courses with business management courses.

What can I study in the ME (Management)?
The ME (Mgmt) program offers students a variety of courses which allow for specialisations in the engineering areas of Electrical Engineering (incorporating also power systems, microwave telecommunications and biomedical engineering) and Software Engineering. Students are also required to study core business courses and can choose to further specialise in business management areas including Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing and Public Sector management.

Master of Engineering (Management) graduates have acquired experience that enables them to cross disciplinary boundaries, and are equipped to take on advanced engineering work. Entry Requirements:
To enrol, a student must
- have a Bachelors degree in Engineering in a field related to one of the engineering fields of this program.
- satisfy the Executive Dean that, based on the student's academic record the student is suitably qualified for admission.
